Area 47 Summer Grind terms

1. Challenge Period The “Summer Grind” Challenge runs from 01 July 2026 until 11 October 2026. The challenge takes place on the pump track at Area 47. 2. Challenge Format, Disciplines and Ranking The challenge is based on the total valid distance ridden during the challenge period. For the ranking, the sum of all valid kilometers recorded by a participant on the pump track at Area 47 counts. Participation is open to BMX and bike riders only. The ranking is divided into two categories: men and women. Within each category, all age groups compete together in one overall ranking. There is no separate ranking by age category. This means that riders in U17, 17–39 and 40+ all compete together within the respective men’s or women’s ranking. Only rides, laps and distance data recorded and verified through the Vorld App count towards the ranking. At the end of the challenge period, the male participant and the female participant with the most valid kilometers in the respective challenge ranking will be selected as the winners. 3. Prizes The winners will each receive a prize from Area 47. The male winner and the female winner will each receive a 10-session pass for the Indoor Bikepark at Area 47. The prizes are provided by Area 47 and must be collected or redeemed on site. No cash alternative, refund, compensation or replacement prize will be offered, unless expressly stated otherwise in these Terms and Conditions. 4. Participation Participation is free of charge via the Vorld App. By participating in the challenge, participants accept these Terms and Conditions as well as any future updates. Participants must comply with all applicable laws, local regulations, pump track rules and instructions from operators or responsible staff on site. Participation is only permitted with a BMX or bike. Participants are responsible for ensuring that their equipment is suitable for use on the pump track and complies with the rules of Area 47. For participants under the age of 18, participation in the challenge confirms that consent from a parent or legal guardian has been obtained. 5. Safety and Responsibility Safety has the highest priority. Pump track riding and related activities involve risks. These may include injury, serious injury, permanent disability or death. Participation is voluntary and entirely at the participant’s own risk. Each participant confirms that they are physically and mentally capable of taking part in the challenge safely. Each participant is responsible for their own safety, health, equipment, insurance and behaviour. Participants must ride within their abilities, avoid unnecessary risks and ensure that their equipment fits properly, is functional and is in good condition. Participants are responsible for checking the pump track before riding. A ride or lap may only be started if the track is visible, clear of obstacles and safe to ride. Participants must not ride if any part of the track appears unsafe, damaged, blocked or otherwise dangerous. Conditions on a pump track can change at any time. The decision to ride remains the sole responsibility of the participant at all times. Participants should always wear suitable protective equipment, especially a helmet. Velosolutions, Vorld, Area 47 and on-site staff do not continuously monitor track conditions or participant behaviour. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Velosolutions, Vorld, Area 47, track owners, partners, sponsors, operators and organisers accept no responsibility for injuries, accidents, losses, damages or any other consequences arising from participation in the challenge. 6. Fair Play Velosolutions reserves the right to review, validate, adjust or remove rides, laps, distance data and results at any time. Velosolutions may correct rankings or challenge results if technical issues, software errors, validation updates or data checks show inaccurate results. Velosolutions may disqualify participants or revoke prizes, particularly in the following cases: • cheating • manipulation of the ranking • exploitation of software or hardware vulnerabilities • fraudulent activity • use of multiple accounts • misuse of the system • unsafe or reckless riding • unsportsmanlike behaviour • participation with a non-eligible discipline or non-permitted sports equipment • behaviour that damages the reputation of the challenge, Vorld, Velosolutions or Area 47 Decisions made by Velosolutions regarding rankings, eligibility and winners are final. 7. Identity Verification Before awarding a prize, Velosolutions may request information from winners that is necessary to verify their identity and eligibility. If requested information is not provided within the specified deadline, this may result in disqualification. 8. Winner Notification and Prize Collection The winners will be contacted by Velosolutions via the email address linked to their Vorld account or used during registration. In order for the prize to be handed over, winners must provide the required information after being contacted. If a winner cannot be contacted, does not respond, or does not provide the required information within 14 days of notification, the claim to the prize will be forfeited. Velosolutions, Vorld and Area 47 accept no responsibility for incorrect, incomplete or outdated contact information provided by participants. 9. Media and Content Velosolutions, Vorld and Area 47 may use challenge-related rankings, results and statistics for communication, promotional and editorial purposes. If participants upload or submit photos, videos or other content in connection with the challenge, they confirm that they hold the necessary rights and that the content does not infringe the rights of any third party. 10. Changes to the Challenge Velosolutions reserves the right to modify, postpone, suspend or cancel the challenge in whole or in part if necessary. Velosolutions is not liable for circumstances outside its reasonable control. In the event of necessary changes, there is no entitlement to additional compensation. 11. Privacy Personal data collected as part of participation will be processed in accordance with the Vorld Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. For the purpose of prize handling, Velosolutions and/or Area 47 may contact the winners after the challenge and request the necessary information. This information will be used exclusively for the administration and handling of the prize. 12. Changes to These Terms and Conditions Velosolutions may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will be published. Participants are responsible for checking for any updates. Continued participation in the challenge will be considered acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions. 13. Acceptance By participating in the “Summer Grind” Challenge, participants confirm that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions. Participants confirm that they participate voluntarily, accept the risks associated with pump track riding and will ride responsibly and within their abilities.
